When helping your child write numbers, make sure they always start at the top of the number and make downward strokes. The child should write the 1 first in the "teen" numbers. Your child's teacher may want these done a bit differently--the stem of the nine straight down, for example. Watch to see what your child is doing in school and try to practice the same way at home. Habits, good or bad, learned early are hard to break. |
